Joanna Blackman

Joanna Blackman is Assistant Head (Teaching, Learning & Partnerships) at Sir William Perkin’s School (SWPS). She is passionate about evidence-informed pedagogy and Adaptive Teaching and has delivered talks on these topics at the Festival of Education. Within her role, she works closely with PGCE and Early Career Teachers to help them grow in confidence and expertise. Jo’s leadership in Teaching and Learning is rooted in sharing and celebrating great practice, focusing on initiatives like a sharing best practice programme, termly resource highlights, and informal working lunches to spark conversation and connection.
